National Protect Human Generated Artwork Petition

Make no mistake about it, A.I represents the single greatest threat to the livelihood of visual artists.
We must protect the rights, the value, and the uniqueness of human generated artwork.
ARRA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the financial rights of all visual artists. The most important
step in the fight against A.I. generated work is building a coalition of artists and law makers to ensure
there are legal protections in place.
Your support costs nothing, but means everything. Add your signature to the growing petition today.

Why ARRA? (Artist Rights and Royalties Association)

Artists form the only creative community that doesn’t receive royalties from their original works being sold and exploited by others. There is currently no legal or financial protection for artists from A.I. exploitation.

Artists need an advocate and to come together as a community or this injustice will continue.

How Can ARRA Help?

Once our registration platform and database is fully operational and open to all artists (September 2024) our lobbying and messaging campaign will help create mass-media awareness.

Through the passing of the Human Generated Artwork Protection Act, we can ensure generations of artists and their families are protected and fairly compensated.

Register your original artwork for free
It’s free for artists to create an account and register your artwork. It takes less than 5 minutes and is as simple as taking a picture and naming your piece.

How ARRA works

Our process is simple and is completely frictionless for you're buyers.

Sell your artwork as you normally would

Once your art is registered you sell your piece just as you would. ARRA is not involved in the sales process and requires nothing from you or your buyer, broker, gallery or dealer.

ARRA issues a Digital Certificate of Ownership

If the new owner of the piece wants it registered in their name, ARRA updates the registration and issues a certificate. The process is free and voluntary for the first buyer or collector.

Receive royalties on the secondary market

When the artwork is sold a second time, and the new buyer wants the registration changed to their name, a  royalty fee is collected on behalf of the artist based on sale price.

Why ARRA?
Receive royalties for your work

Global art sales have surpassed $50 billion
a year for the past decade. Little to none of that revenue from the secondary market has been shared with artists.

Track provenance

Take confidence that there will be a detailed record of your creation, the first buyer, subsequent buyers, and other vital information
to track your art's journey.

Buy with confidence

Each original piece has only one Certificate of Ownership. Our secure database provides digital verification of the condition and origination of the artwork.
